Our Factory Ported/Compensated ammunition delivers superb reliability with a hand-loader’s attention to detail. Designed for weapons equipped with barrel ports or compensators, The increased gas volume produced by this round drives the muzzle down, reducing muzzle rise. we use a special powder blend that is charged to 50% higher volume than the 130gr loading to create the additional gas volume that the ports and compensator can take advantage of, and the lighter bullet profile keeps pressure low for reduced maintenance. The bullet jackets measure approximately .017" thick and won't shred inside of barrel ports like coated or plated rounds.

Shooters will feel surprisingly quick slide movement and a significant improvement in return to zero, without relying on a high power factor. These are ideal for modern double-stack 1911 or 2011 style pistols ports or compensators, or even striker-fired pistols with add-on compensators when equipped with a reduced-weight recoil spring.

Note: this cartridge produces over 50% more gas volume at the muzzle than our standard offering which can dramatically delay cycling on striker fired pistols. We strongly recommend reducing your recoil spring weight for the pistol to run properly. If you prefer reduced muzzle flip without making modifications, give our 130gr silvers a try.

Our zinc-jacketed projectiles create a durable, self-replenishing zinc transfer film inside the bore. Unlike ordinary loose fouling, this adherent layer can smooth microscopic surface irregularities, reduce direct metal-to-metal contact, and provide an added sacrificial barrier against corrosion. Early reports show a reduction in pressure when compared to copper jacketed projectiles with the same dimensions.

Performance Meets Practicality

  • 110gr FMJ-RN “Silver” reman at 1172fps (129 PF)
  • Low muzzle-rise and quick slide movement for faster follow-up shots
  • Thick Jackets keeps barrel ports clean and bullets intact.
  • No modifications needed runs flawlessly in SAAMI-spec firearms

Made for the Atlas Apollo — Fast, Flat & Incredibly Accurate

Published by Massimo Falsini on 20th Aug 2026

I recently tested the Vantage 110gr FMJ specifically designed for ported/compensated pistols in my Atlas Apollo, and the combination was incredible. The Apollo felt amazingly in tune with this ammunition. The slide was literally dancing—extremely fast and smooth—and the dot was returning to zero almost instantly. What impressed me the most was how tight my doubles were; many were practically hole-in-hole. The balance between the light 110gr projectile, speed, and the way it works with the Apollo’s ports is something you really have to experience. The gun felt flat, fast, and incredibly predictable. I would absolutely recommend giving this ammunition a try in any quality ported or compensated 2011. Next up, I can’t wait to test it in my Staccato P with the Dawson ICE Comp. That should be a very interesting combination! ?

    110gr comp/ported ammo

Published by Joshua Harmon on 19th Dec 2025

I have been a fan of the quality and reliability of Vantage ammo for some time now. I have used a large variety of training ammo from this company along with many others, and keep coming back for more Vantage. This particular load is EXACTLY what you want from a minor power factor load in a comped pistol. I dint indeed the wizardry behind it… Soft shooting, extremely flat, WITH the added benefit of much faster slide tracking than any other “soft shooting” rounds I’ve ever found. Fast tracking, while remaining flat? What’s not to love? For anyone considering these, it’s a solid mode to pick some up, you won’t be disappointed.
