These are the same 142gr FMJ-FN “Silver” projectiles we load in our Factory suppressed subsonic training ammunition, sold as components for hand-loaders. Jacketed to the same thickness as a conventional copper FMJ, held to .3555" for broad rifling compatibility, including Glock barrels, with a flat-nose profile that feeds modern 9mm chambers and is built for suppressor-safe jackets. These are safe to use in ported and compensated guns as they are not plated.

This is a zinc and copper alloy jacket (high zinc, low copper), not elemental silver. Zinc is lighter than copper, so these weigh 142gr at the same dimensions as a 147gr copper FN. Start with our 9mm 142gr load data and work up. These are the projectiles in our 9mm Minor 142gr Factory suppressed subsonic load.

Our zinc-jacketed projectiles create a durable, self-replenishing zinc transfer film inside the bore. Unlike ordinary loose fouling, this adherent layer can smooth microscopic surface irregularities, reduce direct metal-to-metal contact, and provide an added sacrificial barrier against corrosion. Early reports show a reduction in pressure when compared to copper jacketed projectiles with the same dimensions.

Load with care

Zinc is softer than copper and does not spring back the same way.

• Do not over-crimp. A heavy crimp can size the bullet down.
• Load in brass cases only. We do not recommend aluminum or steel cases (setback risk).
• Store dry. Zinc tarnishes in humidity.
